This is what I've done this week.

I have become addicted to home decor/remodel blogs.  I love them and looking at what creative women there are out there!  I am so envious!  I keep telling myself, "you can totally do that!", and then I find excuses not to do stuff I want.  Well, no more!  I may not have all the ideas that get people sparked up, but I can copy pretty well!  So, this week I made a coffee table tray out of an old picture frame that I picked up at a garage sale for $2!

I painted a coffee table black, and now I am in the middle of refinishing a thrift store chair.

I still need to get the doors done on my armoire, but it has been too windy to use my paint sprayer so it's gonna have to wait some more.
On a side note, I may have spoke too soon on the house being sold already.  Foster luck is striking again and making things much more difficult than we had anticipated.  Oh well, we have a year to sell the thing so I guess it's okay.
Meanwhile, I need to get over to my friends house to pick up her old piano.  I want to make something creative and unusual out of the awesome old thing!

I can't keep up!

I haven't been as diligent on this blog as I would like to be, but I can't keep up with my crazy life schedule right now!  The last two weeks have been a whirlwind.  I finally had my garage sale.  I had been planning on having one for over a year, but just hadn't gotten around to it.  Well, that year all the stuff I had been waiting to sell just continued to build up in my garage to the point that you couldn't walk in it.  Then my friend joined me to have an even bigger sale.  It was a huge success!  All together, we made $1500 on our sale!  But, it took me a whole week of cleaning/organizing to just get ready for the sale.  I still wasn't ready when at 5:00 a.m. I went outside to start moving stuff to the driveway, and I had buyers there ready to buy!  It was insane!  But, that was the first thing I had put on my list to get done before we put the house up for sale.

Then last week Mike and I went to Tucson to get my car fixed.  We ended up buying a new (to us) car!  Mike and Taylor have been looking for used cars for a few months.  They did a lot of research and Taylor decided she wanted a Jetta.  I told her there was no way she was getting one!  Then we found this great deal on a used Jetta at the VW dealership.  I didn't want to get her such a nice car, but Mike convinced me that it would be best since it has an awesome warranty, it is less likely to break down on her, and it is the only stick shift car we have been able to find that didn't have a ton of miles on it.  She was so surprised when we got home with the car, but I think she is gonna have to convince Mike not to steal it from her!

Then to top all that off, we sold our house!  We were not even ready to put it on the market yet, but some friends of our decided they could handle living in a house after the Leavitts (brave folks!).  We have decided to close at the end of June so now I have to finish some of my projects and start cleaning/packing like a maniac.  I will probably have to have another garage sale too!
I will post pictures later, but I just wanted to make a note of what craziness is happening around here right now.
